The Court of Appeal of Crete is committed to making the relevant website accessible in accordance with the provisions of National Law 4727/2020 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 184, 23-09-2020), Chapter H – Digital Accessibility (Articles 36 -47), as applicable.
This accessibility statement applies to the efeteio-kritis.gov.gr website and the respective application for mobile devices.
A. Compliance status
This website and the above application fully comply with the accessibility requirements of Article 39 of National Law 4727/2020 and is in partial compliance with the current European standard EN 301 549 v3.2.1 (2021-03) (WCAG 2.1 /Level AA).
Specifically, the website and application have incorporated UserWay service website accessibility widget, which is powered by a special accessibility server (offering a range of features for use by people with disabilities, including those with visual, hearing, cognitive and motor-function impairments). This widget resolves most accessibility issues at WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
B. Inaccessible Content
In accordance with case (e) of Article 37(3) of National Law 4727/2020, the content of third-party websites is excluded. This case also relates to third-party websites outside the efeteio-kritis.gov.gr which are accessible through links.
The content listed below is not available in an accessible format for justified technical or practical reasons, as it entails a “disproportionate burden” (Article 5 of Directive (EE) 2016/2102):
- Incorrect heading order due to initial page setup, which means screen readers may not follow the order in which the text appears on the screen.
- Some element IDs are not unique, and some elements may be incorrectly nested within others.
- Some images have no alt text and some are not marked as decorative images.
C. Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 04/23/2024.
An evaluation of the manner in which the website and the application comply with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and WWAG 2.1 directives (Level A and Level AA) was undertaken:
- by self-assessment carried out by the Court of Appeal of Crete based on an examination of a representative sample of webpages and
- using the tool AChecker Web Accessibility Checker.
